Torn between 1-year and 2-year MBA programs, “Which one to apply to?”

If that’s the case, then you are not in minority. According to 2015 mba.com Prospective Students Survey, a product of Graduate Management Admission Council, the owner of GMAT:

The preference is almost evenly split between the two (in a sample size of more than 11,000): 40% of prospective students considered a two-year full-time program, whereas 39% considered a one-year full-time program.

And how did alumni rate these programs? According to Alumni Perspective Survey 2015 done by GMAC, alumni rate their experience as follows:

Here, 2-year program is slightly ahead, but who knows the factors behind the difference may not hold for you. There is no straight-forward answer as to which of the two is better. Your unique situation and career goals will decide that.
